Notes from A Lively Hope
This week was all about:
recovering from a three day outdoor art show. I love connecting with people in person at these events! But my little introverted heart needs some recovery time afterward. It was a great show in a beautiful location.
our first strawberry harvest of the season!
peonies in kid-made pottery
sitting down to plan out my summer reading and make a few lists in my journal
a little improv quilting
tidying my tiny studio. Getting rid of a few things, reorganizing my art cart and prepping a few handwork projects to take along on our upcoming vacations.

Reading:
It’s Easier Than You Think: The Buddhist Way to Happiness by Sylvia Boorstein
This book is like if your sweet Jewish Grandmother took you out to lunch and taught you the basics of Buddhism. It was a perfect introduction and left me eager to learn more.
This is a fictionalization of true events. It was heartbreakingly difficult to read at times, but very important. I felt like it covered horrific topics with dignity and without sensationalizing.
Watching: Jason and I finished The Residence on Netflix this week. Think Knives Out with a delightful Black female detective set in the White House. SO good.

Here’s to making the time for the things we love to do!
