This gorgeous novel is everywhere this summer for good reason. Ann Patchett is magical and this quiet story broke my heart and then put it back together again. It’s a masterpiece.

This delightful follow-up to Sandwich is so relatable. I love the portrayal of parent/grown child relationships (and especially so when your adult children need a little extra help). It’s rare to find a middle-marriage book where both parties are still in love with each other and I’m always to happy when I do. It covers hard topics with love and kindness.
