A Lively Hope #52
Around Here
Watched my 12 year old compete in Jumprope Nationals (and win a gold medal with his team!) in Buffalo, NY. If you’re not already familiar with the joy of competitive jumprope I highly suggest you look into it!
Learned I am no longer cut out for red eye flights.
Lots of World Cup fun!
Finished my Lord of the Rings deep re-read (see Instagram Reel below)
Summer favorites: evening walks, morning lap swimming, gardening, pickleball
Reading:
Moonflower Murders by Anthony Horowitz⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’m such a fan of middle aged female protagonists lately. This is the second in the Magpie Murders series and I loved it just as much as the first. It’s a book within a book and also an awesome series on PBS. Just so much fun!
When the Cranes Fly South by Liza Ridzen ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a heartbreakingly beautiful end of life story set in Sweden. It’s about parenthood and the relationships we take for granted. It’s about forgiveness and family. I loved it so much that I immediately handed it to my husband and he gave it 5 stars as well.
