Come Follow Me Sketchnotes:
"Be Thou an Example of the Believers"
1 and 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon
October 28- November 3

Good morning, friends!

When you read this I'll be enjoying some adventure time with some of my favorite people (my parents are taking my oldest daughter and me on a trip to Washington DC!).

As I type this, a few days before we leave, I'm in the middle of preparations for this long-awaited trip, I'm up to my eyeballs getting ready for Pinners Conference and I've got a couple of other big projects in the works.  My mantra over the past few weeks has been: It'll be fine.

So family scripture study plans for this week are pretty simple, and guess what? It'll be fine.

I've had to drop a few ideas I had for Pinners, but it'll be fine.  I'll add them to my list for a future show.

I haven't made/found a ton of time for my personal art practice lately.  It'll be fine.

We're in a busy season, but in a couple of weeks it will be over and we'll be back to our regular schedule.  It'll be fine.

In the meantime, here's our super simplified schedule for the week.  You'll notice there's not a lot extra.  We're basically just reading a few verses each night.  It'll be fine :)

Monday: Read CFM introduction + 2 Timothy 3:15-17 and Scripture Treasure Hunt
Tuesday: Read 1 Timothy 4:12
Wednesday: Read 1 Timothy 6:7-12
Thursday: Read 2 Timothy 3:14-17
Friday: Philemon 1:17-21
Saturday: Read 1 Timothy 2:9-10
Sunday: Recap/Catch-up if we missed any days.  Kids lead discussion.

Additional Study:

How to use Scripture Sketchnotes:

TRACE. You can also trace these into your scriptures or journal using a light box or a sunny window.  My husband made me an awesome lightbox, but this one is a great option for you to purchase.

COLORING PAGE. Use as a coloring page for your kids to work on during family scripture time.  Write additional notes and insights on the pages as you go. You could add all the completed sketchnotes pages to a binder to keep as a reminder of the gospel topics you've discussed together.

STICKER PAPER. Print on clear sticker paper and cut apart the doodles to add to your scripture journal or into the margins of your scriptures.  (This year, I am using this free wide-margin New Testament PDF that I had printed and spiral bound at a local copy shop.  But there are many wide-margin options available.)

Printing on clear sticker paper allows you to add color to the doodles using colored pencils, but still be able to see the words beneath them.  I have tried out a few different kinds of colored pencils on this sticker paper.  Ergosoft pencils and Prismacolor pencils work really well.
