What I'm Into: May 2014

One of our favorite local hikes.

May has got to be (one of) my favorite months of the year.  Around here, the weather is perfect: warm days, cool nights, and just a few rainy days. The days are often spent more outside than in.  In the mountains, at the park, in the yard. It's planting time, with the promise of beauty and bounty through the rest of the year. Jason and I celebrated our thirteenth anniversary this month, which is so hard to believe.

I am excited to share with you what I've been into this month.

Just finished The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. This is a re-read, but I still just adore it. Currenlty reading Code Name Verity and Persusaion (free for Kindle).

Check my Twitterature post or follow me on Goodreads to see more of what I've been reading lately.

We are hard-core Psych fans and are nearly done with Season 8.  I am somewhat distraught that it's almost over. Any suggestions for what to watch next?

Jason was out of town for a week this month, so I got to overload on my new favorite. I just finished watching Call the Midwife Season 2.  Love, love, love.

Jason and I both really liked The Monuments Men.

As far as kid-friendly viewing Free Birds was surprisingly not awful.  (How's that for a glowing recommendation?)  The kids loved it, I guffawed several times and Jason slept through half of it.  Though in his defense he'd been home from Taiwan, after a full 22 hours of travel, for about 2 hours when we started the movie.

The whole family loved The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

After a new-baby hiatus I'm slowly working on filling up my Etsy shop again.

I've jumped on the Project Life bandwagon  I'm smitten, so far. I'd love to hear if you have any on-the-cheap ideas for Project Life.

Meyers-Briggs.  It's possible that I'm the last person in the world to discover this personality test.  I found the results fascinating and very fitting.  I'm a INFJ.  What about you?

Project Life ideas and free printables, naturally.  Follow my board to keep up with my researching frenzy. ;)

Batch freezer cooking ideas.  I need to get back into the intentional habit of bulk cooking.

Summer cooking ideas. Oh, yes.  I'm ready!

Planted thousands of flower seeds in our yard this month. Most of them are drought-tolerant perennials and were planted in areas of our yard that do not receive much water.  This has been on my list of projects for some time.

Garden planted, as well.  Several kinds of tomatoes, tomatillos

  1. Dropping by as promised! I LOVE CALL THE MIDWIFE!

Also your favorite Instagram…my heart melted and exploded all at once! : ). I am an also an INFJ! Twins! I hope we cross paths on the world wide web again!

    1. Meredith, I just finished reading the first Call The Midwife book. (Did you know there are books?!) It's a series of three and the first one was so, so wonderful. Can't wait to get my hands on the next book! And I know exactly what you mean about your heart simultaneously melting and exploding. He has that affect on me, too!

  2. Love Psych! It was sad to see it come to an end but the finale was perfection. I'm an INFJ too!

    1. Yay for INFJs! I thought this was supposed to be the least common group, but we're everywhere! :)

  3. I'm an INFJ too! We seem to be overrepresented in the blogging community. ;)

    1. How funny! Maybe because as bloggers we get to use our words without actually talking to anyone ;)
