Family Pictures are Hard

As I was going through some photos this morning I discovered a hilarious series: our attempt to take a family photo on Easter morning. It's hard enough to get one child to hold still for a photo, but each time you add another it results in exponentially more ridiculousness.   Also, I'd like you to know that our children recieved not a single piece of candy on Easter morning (that's not true at all once we went to dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's...).  This is not a sugar-induced lack of focus.  This is just how we roll.

We started off okay, but it quickly went downhill.

And then we just went with it, taking some intentionally silly photos:

Above is what we call the "I love you dear sibling, you're the apple of my eye" pose.

We were able to rein them back in a bit and focus on the task at hand.  We ended up with some pretty okay shots.

But the attempt at a family photo did not go quite so well.

What am I doing here?  I promise I don't threaten my children...

                                                          Okay, fine. Good enough.

                                                      Happy (belated) Easter, friends!

  1. You have a beautiful family. I found your blog via Heather (and your faith in God workbooks).
