So Long, Farewell, Auf Wiedersehen,

We made it! After deciding to take an extra day to drive to Canada, and some minor hostility from Canadian customs officials, we're finally here. We are happy to be out of the car and looking forward to not spending hours upon hours in the car tomorrow. I still haven't decided what the kids and I will do but we know we won't be in the car!

Here are some pictures of our first exploring trip in Cambridge. We found a lovely walking trail and let the kids lead us around.

Ethan reached up to hold my hand while we were walking. I knew it would be a fleeting thing, so I had Jason document the moment. After just a few seconds Ethan was ready to be on his own again. But that little gesture absolutely made my Mother's Day.

Ellie spent a lot of time taking pictures of flowers. She did manage to get a somewhat non-blurry one of us, too.

And, much to Ethan's delight, we found a place to throw rocks in the water. I predict lots of trips back to this spot (if we can figure out how to get there again...)!

We're looking forward to getting settled, more exploring and enjoying as much time together as possible on this adventure. We're in a beautiful area and I am hopeful that I'll be able to find my way around before too long. We feel very blessed to have this opportunity.
