Sledding Day

Last Saturday Ellie and her neighborhood friends sledded down the huge ramp in our backyard. We had this ramp built 3 1/2 years ago when we first moved into the house. It connects our lower backyard to the area on top of our rock wall. The sledding fun on Saturday was a realization of the "vision" I had when we had the ramp built. Ellie was less than a year old at the time, but I envisioned looking out the window to see this:

(that's our neighbor's dog, Noble, in the background)

I love this man and, strangely enough, that hat.Ellie's friends Olivia and Grayson
That's Jason on his stomach on the bottom (he's holding 2 sleds together) and Ellie, Grayson and Cullen are on top of him.
It took me 20 minutes to get Cutie ready to go out. He was bundled up so much he could hardly move. He liked going down the hill.
But he didn't really like playing in the snow by himself.

I've never been a huge fan of winter. I just don't like being cold. But this winter has been SO fun so far. Hand knit mittens and darling children must help with the cold.

  1. Thanks for posting these. So cute. I totally enjoyed the nap but wished I would have trekked out to take pictures first.
