Full House

This weekend, we were able to have 2 of my sisters and my little brother stay with us. My parents are on a cruise in the Mediterranean. I think they are in Venice today. Yes, I feel really bad for them. Especially as I look out the window and watch the rain pouring down.

Here they are in all their glory Nikki, Ellie, Cutie in the high chair, Katie and David.

To go suddenly from 2 kids to 6 was a bit challenging. It was extremely nice to have the extra help, though. Katie and Nikki left after church yesterday but David will be here til Friday.

In other news, we have decided on a name for our new addition. We'll be calling him Peanut.

Peanut is such a sweet little baby. He only cries when he's hungry, which I'll admit is fairly often. It seems he's getting his big brother's appetite. He gets up twice in the night, but just eats and then falls back asleep. So I'm only up for 20 minutes at the most. This is do-able!

For as long as we've had Cutie, he's been doing a "trick". We have been unsuccessful at capturing a photo of this trick until Friday.

I'm not sure when this started, but it's hilarious. He tenses his whole body, including his face muscles. He then waits for us to laugh and repeats the process. He usually does this on command, you just have to do it once first.

Silly boy.

And another thing. Have you noticed that boys play differently than girls?

  1. Wow that is a big change. 2 to 6. At least two of them are a lot older. Hope things are going well for you. Let us know if you need anything.

  2. I do hope Cutie enjoys the spinning, he looks not so sure of it but you hear the giggling.

  3. All four of my kids did that "trick." When I try to do it it hurts me like crazy. Kids are resilient. Wow, two kids to six is a big change. How fun to have your siblings with you for a little while though.

  4. I bet it was nice to have time with your sibs.... Dan used to do the same "trick" we called it "Squeeze Face". I don't know if he ever did it for you considering it was 20 years ago (holy cow we've known each other a long time!!!!!)Peanut is so adorable! You must love having a tiny baby again, plus the fun toddler age and then of course there is Miss Ellie. What a fun bunch! I feel terrible for your parents. Tell them I said so, and hello too!!!

  5. that video is awesome! I love the way boys play....sometimes :)
