Conference Weekend, Carrot Heroes and a new baby

I love Conference Weekend! We enjoyed staying home all weekend, listening to the uplifting talks and having family time. We also enjoyed luscious cinnamon rolls.

These will definitely be a Conference tradition!

During dinner, Ellie and Jason made Carrot Heroes (Chubby and Slim). They went on expeditions all over the house.
I vaguely remember some sort of saying about "don't play with your food". Hmm...I wonder what that's all about.

On Monday morning, we got a phone call from a tired-sounding Kristi. Her bun was ready to come out of the oven! We were able to see her for a few minutes at the hospital and then waited in the waiting room for 3 1/2 hours while she tried to get the little one out. After 26 hours of labor, HE finally arrived!
Meet handsome Phoenix Kimball Davis. 7 lbs 18 inches. He's a darling little guy. Thanks for cooking him, Kristi!
Bored Cousins in the waiting room. (Way to go Grandma for bringing a bag FULL of treats!)
Tired Mama and Baby Phoenix.
Cougar's reaction. You think he likes his brother?
Ellie didn't want to hold Phoenix, but she loved looking at him. Needless to say, I had no reservations about holding him. In fact, I very nearly tried to put him in my pocket and take him home. Something tells me Kristi would have noticed. (I didn't really want to steal him. Promise.)

Thank you, Kristi and Mark for letting us come to see him. And Phoenix, we look forward to getting to know you better.
