Nature Day

We went to the International Peace Gardens today for Nature Day. My cute sister, Kristi, and her boys went with us. The gardens were beautiful (and free!), I'm sure they'll be amazing when there are actually leaves on the trees and the flowers are in bloom. We'll definitely be going back.

We enjoyed walking around and looking at the gardens representing various countries all over the world. The kids' favorite part was when we stopped off at the playground afterward.

This picture of Phoenix cracks me up. It looks to me like he's saying, "Yummm...whatcha got there?". He had a cracker, too. But apparently Peanut's was more appetizing.

Look who is (kind of) sitting!

The playground area was absolutely covered with dandelions, most of them ready to have the seeds blown away by eager kiddos. Ellie and Cougar were doing just that when I tried to get a cute-cousins-blowing-dandelion-fluff picture of them. They quickly decided it was MUCH more fun to take fistfuls of dandelions and just throw them at me. The joke is on them because I still got some cute pictures.

(The first one is my favorite. The little punks.)

  1. That is a great picture of Ellie, the excitement is just leaping off of her face

  2. Looks like a lot of fun! Peanut is getting so big. He is such a cutie!
