Valentine's Day

I have THE best family in the world. They watched all of our munchkins today so Jason and I could go snowshoeing to celebrate Valentine's Day. We went up American Fork canyon, and we had a blast.

It was snowing lightly, and pretty cold when we started out. Once we got moving, our fingers and toes warmed right up. It was heavenly to be outside and to be surrounded by such beauty. It was pretty foggy, but we were able to catch a glimpse of the mountains every once in a while.

And it was QUIET. ( I've heard that's what happens when you leave the kids at home...)

Oh, how I love the trees.

I love him more, though.
It was the perfect day to be tromping through the woods!

And the perfect way to celebrate with my best friend. We loved every minute of it! Thanks again, Mom, Dad and Katie!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

  1. I'm jealous of all the snow! We've had nothing but a few dustings here. It's just not the same!

  4. Yay! Happy Valentines. That looks like so much fun. I have always wanted to go snow shoeing. We should go with our hubbies sometime. That would be really fun. Looks like you guys had a great time.

  5. Do you guys have your own snowshoes or did you rent? And if you have them where did you buy them and how much were they?

  6. To answer your questions, we own the snowshoes. I bought them for the family for my birthday last year. I got them on ebay, and I think they were about $60 (that could be totally wrong, though). I do know they are ALPS brand. We've really liked them! I even got some for Ellie, but hers are from Eddie Bauer, I think.
