Day Trip

Because work has been so busy for Jason this year, he has not been able to take a vacation. We had one planned for September, but it didn't work out. So, he has lots of time off to use up before the end of the year. He has taken this whole week off! Yay!

Yesterday we went on a day trip to Ogden. We rode Trax and Frontrunner. I loved this picture of Cutie on the train. He looks like a kid!

Ellie took this one. I don't typically make a habit of biting my children, but Cutie thought it was a funny game. When we got to Ogden, we walked to a restaurant to eat lunch.

This is Ellie and me being excited(Peanut was in the Bjorn all day. He loves it in there!):
Here is Jason's excited face.

Cutie's excited too.

Why were we so excited? Because after lunch we went to the Treehouse Museum!
It was so fun, I wish we had something like this closer to us. The price was right and there were so many activities that even though we spent nearly 3 hours there we didn't get to do everything. Here's what we did do:

Science Station
Firewoman EllieCutie made a friend in the train area.

He also crawled back and forth over this bridge for a LONG time. I loved watching him figure out how to handle the incline/decline and he was very proud of himself once he learned how to make it all the way across.
The music room.
Ellie in chain mail next to a princess that you could dress up. It was so very fun! The kids were incredibly well-behaved and it was a wonderful fun family day.

We didn't even let the hostile Trax driver who unjustly accused us of breaking the train door bother us. At least we had witnesses all around to vouch for us if we needed them. But that's a story for another day...

  1. First of all, I totally want to hear the broken door story. Secondly, how fun! I've hear a little bit about the Treehouse Museum and wanted to go. It looks fun. You'll definitely have to tell me more about it.

  2. Olivia keeps asking to go to the Treehouse Museum but I have never known anyone to go so I am glad to know that it is worth the visit.

    Happy Thanksgiving!!
